Frequently Asked Questions

Why Did You Start Your Business?

After transitioning out of higher education and then supporting multiple CEO/Founders with operations and client management, I realized my strengths in helping leaders and teams translate big ideas into tangible, achievable goals and steps. I love multi-tasking and drawing from varying strengths on a daily basis. Helping organizations run more effectively is extremely fulfilling! I added mobile notary to my services in 2024 after seeing a need for accessible notarization and loan signing services in Humboldt County, particularly in rural outlying areas.

What Kinds of Projects Can You Help With? How Does it Work?

This truly depends on your organization’s needs. Perhaps your private practice is growing beyond what you can manage on your own, but you’re not ready to hire an assistant. Maybe you need an additional grant writer to help with emergency funding for your nonprofit, or you want to hire a new employee and you’re not sure how to start the recruitment process. My services bring my broad range of professional skillsets to your organization and can serve as a bridge for growing organizations that do not have capacity to bring on additional staff but need support to meet the demands of their work. I can help you communicate with clients, assist with projects, and provide ongoing administrative support on a part-time, contract basis. I have a broad range of experience and will work with you to identify where I can best step in to help, allowing you to stay focused on the most critical aspects of your business.

Most of our work is structured to happen remotely. This reduces costs for you as a client and for me as a consultant, enabling me to keep my pricing accessible and to work with clients regardless of location. Notarization services always take place in person. As a mobile notary, I will work with you to arrange a mutually convenient location for signing.

Who Are Your Typical Clients?

Most of my consulting clients are private practitioners (consultants, attorneys, mental health professionals), early startups and small businesses, and small nonprofit organizations. I also am available for short-term consultation, trainings, and contract roles with higher education institutions and larger organizations.

Notary services are open to anyone who is able to meet in person with me for notarization and can provide valid identification.

Why Would a Company Hire a Contractor/Consultant Instead of an Employee?

For some organizations, working with a contractor for fractional operations or administrative support can be more affordable, given the costs of staff recruitment, training, payroll taxes, and benefits. Other times, I might be brought on as a consultant to assist with a specific case or project. If you work with me, a benefit is that I am not just fulfilling functional tasks. I will provide valuable feedback and help you establish new systems to keep in place after our contract is complete, setting you up for ongoing success.

What is the Benefit of a Mobile Notary?

Mobile notaries offer convenience by coming to you. You may choose a mobile notary because you have schedule constraints, live in a remote part of Humboldt, or you simply prefer not to deal with the hassle of driving to a notary’s office. Once you schedule your appointment, I will follow up with you by phone to confirm our meeting location and other logistics.

What Are Your Prices?

For consulting and other contract work, I will provide a quote after we meet to discuss your situation and needs. For consulting and most business services, I typically charge an hourly rate, monthly retainer, or flat project fee based on the scope of work.

Notarization fees are $15 per notarized document plus a travel/convenience fee ranging from $25—$100+, depending on location.

Loan-signing services pricing varies based on logistics and location.

What is the Next Step?
